The Experience

DJ has alternative styles of Djing for various different types of events. His selection of music is more vast than the standard online record pools most DJ’s use today. His years of digging vinyl and online research history have given him access to obtain mashups of all genres (upon standard versions of tracks) that fit and work eclectically for all styles of parties from bars to private events.

Galas

DJ SR’s Gala’s range from the REAL IT awards, British Journalism awards, the annual UK events organiser Meetings Show Gala – so many more to add (the list is countless).

Footage to see how he gets top bosses of global businesses stomping feet at gala events can be seen on the videos page

DJ SR has an extensive history playing at prestigious Gala events going back to 2007.

Open Format DJ

Each event varies for DJ SR on a nightly basis. For example: one evening event could be a predominantly 80s 90s Pop Corporate event “mix and blend” set and the next evening may require a Current Charts to Old Skool R&B nightclub party style of DJing with elements of scratching.

With so many different events in London requiring a wide scope of music genres and diversity. Shom can instantly adapt his set and his style to suit the audience in front of him to create a solid fun dancefloor everytime!

The Story

DJ SR started buying records in 1995, Shom then got his turntables in 1998. It wasn’t for another two years practicing in his bedroom until DJ SR came out to start his DJ career in 2000 playing at Queen Mary student union bars as a warm-up DJ.

Shom then made his way from there from uni bars to being a regular DJ in Leicester Square venues nightclubs (when there were many). Shom was well know by managers in the circuit by 2002 then he played many to the A-list nightclubs by 2004 as well securing himself many residencies in Soho.

DJ SR then became one of the resident DJs at London’s biggest weekly nightclub R&B party – for five consecutive years.

In addition to all of this, he has also played to members of the Royal Family, High Profile Corporate and Fashion events to billionaires mansion parties.

– there really isn’t a party scene in London DJ SR hasn’t covered.
